Tours/Activities - How to create a new tour
Log in to your account: https://gotobooking.io/en/login
Click on Products + Activities on the left side.
Click 'Create' to start creating a new tour
Here you will fill in the vital details about the tour.
4.1 Choose if it's a tour or an event. An event is typical for a concert or a one time activity.
4.2 Choose the partner site.
4.3 Choose if the tour starts a specific time (Hours) or if it's an All day tour. It is typical of a museum where you can come whenever you want during opening hours.
4.4 Choose the Cancellation Policy for when your Tour is sold via your own website.
4.5 Choose the Cencellation Policy for when your Tour is sold via the hub.
4.6 Do you want to connect the tour to your booking system? If not, choose none. If yes, choose the booking system that you use in the list and fill out the product ID in the product id box that appears.
4.7 When you are done, click Next.
It's time to fill in all details about the tour. You'll do it in some different steps. Either you can use the translation program that our system has. If you choose that, fill in all details in English. You can also translate on your own or using for example google translate. The translation button in the system is found up to the right.
5.1 Give the tour a name.
5.2 Write a short selling ingress about the tour, around 25-40 words!
5.3 Write down everything about the tour. Describe what is happening during the tour, what can the client expect, how many hours are the tour etc. Maximum 200 words divided into three parts.
5.4 Give the tour three selling highlights in bullet form.
5.5 What's included? Also write this in bullet form for the best visual experience.
5.6 Extras. This is perfect if you want to tell something extra to your customers. For example: "Don't forget to bring your camera" or "Bring your warmest clothes on this boat trip". This text should be written in sentences.
5.7 This is optional but perfect if you for example want to be extra clear about the meeting point. This box is located high up on the right and is very visible to the customer.
5.8 Location Type - Choose from the drop-down whether you want to display the tour's meeting point, the pick up point, or the exact location.
5.9 Location Text. For example: Bird street 8, 111 11 Bird town, Sweden
5.10 Location Description: If the location you set in 5.9 is near a specific landmark, you can mention it here.
5.11 Choose your destination/city.
5.12 The map location is important. Here you will put in the meeting point address.
5.13 Write 1 in the order box.
Press Next to continue to the next step.
In this step you are adding pictures to your tour. To do so, click Edit on the right side.
Click on "Upload media" and click in the big box where the arrow points to upload the images.
After you have choosen your pictures, go back to "Media". Here you have the possibility to move the pictures so they appears in the way you prefer. The image on the far left is the one that will be shown first in the front end. To move the picture that is pointed out with the arrow. Just click on it and drag it to the left. You will see the picture move and change place. When you are satisfied, click Save and move forward by clicking Next.
Tax Weight. Last step in the creation of your tour is to fill in correct VAT. The tax weight must end up in 100 but you can distribute the VAT exactly how you wish.
After you have filled in the tax weight you can create the tour. Scroll down and hit the Create-button on the right side. When the tour is created, you will be re-direceted to the first page and from this page, you will be able to go directly to Tickets & Options to finalize the tour.
