How to create a Tour Booking Widget
Step-by-step guide to create a Tour Booking Widget
Log in to your partner profile on www.gotohub.no
Click Sites in the left pane and then click Widgets.
Create a tour booking widget
Widgets can be created for each individual tour.
Click on the "Create" button and a pop-up opens.
Enter a name for the widget. We recommend to choose the same name as the tour for which you're creating a widget.
Choose 'Tour Booking Widget' in the Widget Type drop-down.
In "Tour filter", you need to choose the tour for which you want to create a widget. Scroll and choose the right one.
If you can't find the tour you are looking for in this drop-down, you will need to add it into your Product Catalogue first.
There are two types of tour booking widgets. If you want to create a tour booking widget with pictures and text content, you can click the box "Show tour details"
Click Save.
Adding the widget to your webpage:
Click on 'Options' next to the tour widget you wish to add to your website, and click 'Copy Widget'.
A pop-up opens, where you have two options -
Copy with button (this will generate a booking button on your webpage that looks the same as in the preview)
Copy without button (this is added directly in to an existing anchor tag on your webpage; an anchor tag is a type of a button that most websites have)
When you click on the clipboard symbol next to your preferred option, you will see a notification on the top stating that the script of the widget has been copied to the clipboard
Paste the script on your website
If you are not familiar with editing your own webpage please contact your web administrator to help you.
Pls also take note, that if you are having cookie consent on your website, you need to add the provider gotobooking.io as a "necessary" cookie in order for the widget to work properly
